Vazhithala is a place that has been on the map of history since the era of North Kurin and Kizhumalai Nadu. In this ancient region with a cultural tradition spanning centuries, 13 respected individuals with a sense of cooperation came together and started an institution called Vazhithala Desavardhini Prathana Sahaya Sangam No. 908. On 17-3-1925, the first general meeting of Vazhithala Desavardhini Prathana Sahaya Sangam No. 908 elected Ponnat Agasthi as the president. On 6-7-1951, the society was registered as Vazhithala Service Co-operative Society Limited No. 908 under the Travancore Cochin Cooperative Societies Act, 1951. On 18-11-1970, the society was registered as Vazhithala Service Co-operative Bank Limited under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969, with number 908.
Primarily aimed to promote the financial interests of economically weaker sections giving due importance to the common people including the industrial and agricultural labourers, traders, salaried individuals etc. in the area of operation of the bank. During the short span of time, we have proved the quality. We are dedicated to be the pride of our customers, members and employees through the time-tested quality and innovative excellence.
